BEAUCHER & LEA architecture LLC is a full service architectural design firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The firm’s vision is to provide affordable expertise in all aspects of design from the first sketches through construction and completion of clients' projects. BEAUCHER & LEA architecture provides affordable design services for all phases of projects, with an energetic emphasis on responsible design, tailored spaces, innovative detailing, and sustainable practices.
Steven Beaucher, Katharine Lea and James Bruneau each have over 15 years of experience designing, detailing, and overseeing the construction of a wide range of architectural projects ranging from $100K to $100M in construction cost. Their experience includes new construction and renovation of single family homes, condominium conversions, loft fit-outs, custom kitchens, academic facilities, athletic facilities, commercial spaces, libraries, police/fire stations, pharmaceutical research laboratories, and mixed-use multi-family residences among others.
Katharine Lea holds a Masters of Building Science / Sustainable Technology Degree at Appalachian State University and will be part of the 2011 Solar Decathlon project taking place in Washington DC.
Steven, Katharine and James have developed relationships with consultants, engineers, contractors, builders, sub-contractors, fabricators, suppliers, showrooms, dealers and manufacturers. These relationships are brought to the table for each project. Steven Beaucher, James Bruneau and Katharine Lea are each a licensed Architect in The Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Steven Beaucher and James Bruneau oversees the firm's office in Cambridge with James Bruneau, while Katharine Lea oversees the firm's "Southern Practice" in North Carolina and West Virginia.
