Cambridge Two Family Gut Renovation / Condominium Conversion
Steven Beaucher directed the total gut renovation and condoization of an existing 100 year old two-family residence near Harvard University in Cambridge. The project included abatement of asbestos, replacement of all windows, totally new interiors including all new heating/air conditioning systems, as well as new electrical and plumbing throughout.
The upper unit (second/third floors) was gutted to the studs and designs for a new kitchen, home office and full bathroom were implemented. The third floor was reconfigured as a master suite with new walk-in closet, laundry room and master bath with walk-in double shower. The lower unit (first floor) was converted from a one bedroom unit into a two bedroom unit with new kitchen, bath and heat/AC/electrical/plumbing systems.
BEAUCHER & LEA architecture orchestrated the production and filing of all condominium plans and documents required to convert the two-family residence into two legally separate condominium units.
